Update...10-3-2021...CHAPTER THREE...2021...

Skewed House With Awning...

Forum member, Lynn, sent me an image of a small house she thought would make a good candidate for another Ten Cent City house...and she was so right...

The patterns are in the PDF below the picture of my version and all the parts...it's ready to prime, paint, add the fine-grain sand finish and assemble...

Regarding the pattern...I suggest cutting the main roof, entry roof and foundation oversize...then cut and trim to get the best fit...these parts are sorta tricky since the walls of the house are skewed...it took me several cutouts to each to get them right...

Stay tuned...

Howard...

Update...03-17-2022...CHAPTER FOUR...2022...

And the answer is to the question I posted a few days ago is...

A wooden body form, chimney form and rooftop form for easily assembling and gluing "Ten Cent City" houses together...

Here's a little backstory...two longtime forum friends introduced me to pre-glittered and foil card stock late last year...and after a few...actually more than a handful of unsuccessful attempts...I was able to use the homemade wooden block form, the chimney form and the top clamp to glue houses together without denting and scratching the pre-glittered and foil card stock...

I'll have to make forms for the different house roof lines in the the "Ten Cent City" series when I want to make more using pre-glittered and foil houses...

I'll post pictures of the pre-glittered and foil houses I've made so far soon...stay tuned...

Howard...

Note...I haven't turned my back on traditional paint, glue and glitter finishes... :)

Update...04-09-2022...CHAPTER FOUR...

Greetings to all...

Finally finished the foil and pre-glittered card stock versions of the Ten Cent City Houses...these were build using the wooden form that was posted just a comment or so ahead of this update...

Using the form was the best way for me to fold, assemble and glue the foil and pre-glittered card stock without denting or scaring the finish...

Hopefully I'll find some new designs that can be adapted to find the dimensions of the other two dozen or so houses in this series...

My very best regards...

Howard...
