good afternoon...

here's the link to the vintage piece on ted's site...

http://www.cardboardchristmas.com/papateds/Hom2003.html

patterns, dimensions and a couple of photos are below...i'm going to let these tell the story...

plans for the base and fence sections are not in shown...only the basic dimensions...

more pictures later...thinking about the same colors over a sand finish with a blush of glitter and mica flakes...

my very best regards...howard...

Thanks Howard.

I like the forced perspective of the building.

i like the way it makes the building look so much bigger...the corners (not being 90-degrees) do make assembly a little more difficult...especially making the roof fit properly...i had to make a paper pattern and cut two cardboard ones until i got it right...the same goes for the spire...

good morning to all...

it's starting to look more finished after a coat of primer...plus a coat of finish color mixed with craft sand and bird cage gravel...

then another coat of finish color...i'll prime and paint roof and spire a subdued red later today...

still have to paint the walk and front step...after that...the details that bring it to life...

my version will probably be much brighter than the vintage inspiration putz...but let's see what mine looks like in 50 years...

my very best regards...howard...

greetings to all...

this project is finished...i did repaint the base a lighter blue...and went with a brighter red than i originally thought i would....

added a blush of glitter and mica flakes...i almost close my eyes so the application of the thinned white glue will be more random...

may still add "snow-tex" to the roof and spire...

my very best regards...howard...
