I have these Made in Japan 1950s Putz like houses that I'd like to spruce up a bit. There are minor repairs needed to the buildings and the light up trees. Does anyone have any info of the trees in particular? They are covered in clear glass bits that aren't beads.

Here's one of mine--when I got it it was filthy--the Santa and deer were grey! I used a q-tip with plain water and gingerly cleaned them over several days--be forewarned about the paint on the glass portions---sometimes it is not waterproof! Also be forewarned about the cardboard sleeve that goes over the bulb---it can burn! Use a blinking bulb if you can.

I built a repro 2 years back.
It had the same kind of tree.

To avoid heat. I used a C7 size LED bulb.

Runs cool, no threat of heat cooking the tree.
