update...2/4/2018...

here's the finished stable with the angel along with Mary, Joseph and the baby Jesus...that's sawdust, applied with white glue like glitter, to represent straw...

i'm slowly working on the other parts of the scene and will be posting the three wise men next month...

my very best regards...

Howard...

Howard,
This is one of your most beautiful flattie projects ever. Really beautifully done.

Chapter 3...The Three Wise Men...

Greetings to all...

I'll let the patterns and the work-in-progress photo tell most of the story...the three flatties are combined into one piece...(but they don't overlap like the Victorian Greeting Couples flattie i recently posted)...although the two standing figures look very similar, they will be painted in very different color pallets...a photo of the finished piece will be posted in a couple of weeks...

Next month I plan to post a shepherd with three sheep...I've also seen some palm tree flatties that look interesting...

My very best regards...

Howard...

update...2/26/2018...

finished the three wise men "flattie" yesterday afternoon...was going to put some green dyed sawdust on the base but washed it off before the glue set...it was just to much...so went with a green painted base...

slowly working on the shepherd with three sheep "flattie" for the right side of the nativity...haven't started the palm trees yet...

my very best regards...

Howard...

Howard,
I don't know how, but your nativity scene just continues to get more and more spectacular.
