Hello everyone,
I want to share another house I built last year.

Last year was really a rough year for me. There was the death of my Mom, as well as surgery and to cap it off a small stroke. After you have been a caregiver for 8 years and suddenly there is no one to care for it leaves a gaping hole in your heart; building these houses has helped to calm and center myself.

This is a putz under glass. I saw this cheese dome a couple of years ago at an antique shop in New York. I thought it would be perfect to put a putz into.
The house is a modified pattern of a gas station from the 1920’s. I left off the front part where the pumps and the drive through would be. It is in HO scale.

Anyway, please enjoy…

Lee...

certainly not a good year...seems that bad things always seem to happen in groups of three...and not good things...at least that's what i've experienced...

about resizing the photos...i'm certainly not the expert...and will yield to an expert like Paul or some other computer savvy person...all i can say is that i use the Microsoft Paint program on my desk top and use the RESIZE feature and type in 800 in the width box...i believe if you google something like "resize digital image with microsoft paint " very detailed instructions and probably a video will come up...

note...when taking photos with my iphone, i have to first email the image to myself and then use the microsoft paint to resize...but i'm sure that may be and "app" that will resize in your phone...but that's beyond what i can do...

hope this helps...

Howard...

Here you go Lee. All resized! I am so sorry about the loss of your Mom. I too lost mine a few years ago close to my birthday and it was tragic. Thanks for sharing your talent here and on my FB group page as well. YOU sir, are talented...

Thank you Howard and Clinton. I knew I needed to resize them but I didn't think about it until I had posted the pictures. I was going to edit the post but I didn't see where I could since I am not an administrator.

Lee...actually you can edit your own posts...(not the posts of others-but the moderator can)...so if you wanted to delete the large photos and update text you can...you’ll see an “edit” button near the bottom right of your posting...

Magnificent!!! What kind of light source did you use and where was it hidden? What does the back of the house look like? I don't think I will ever look at another glass covered cake stand again and think CAKE.

Christmasvillagegirl,

I will need to take some pictures of the lighting to share; it may be a few days though.
