Hey everybody,
I was asked to share some pics of my two villages so here is my display from 2012. My bigger village is behind plexiglass to keep cats and 3yr old fingers out. It consists of larger based houses, Barclay/Manoil peeps, some chalkware and celluloid animals, plasticville fence, and some old toy cars.

My satellite village is all flat based houses.

On a side note I've been enjoying the forum, and love all the topics and pics I've seen. As I have more time I will try to comment more. Thank you all for sharing!

How wonderful and of course that vintage Plasticville fence (of which I only have a few sections) adds just the right finishing touch; I can't wait to link to all this over at my blog.

Thank you so much, Maria and Howard! P.S. Maria, I love being on your mailing list and always read your blog updates!! Thats how I found the forum!

Maria, I had a bunch of extra fence, but my twin brother decided to start his own village this year, so I gave him most of my extra. I do see it go fairly cheap on ebay from time to time. I got all mine for like $10 in a giant bag that someone had...got a lot of broken pieces but...it was a score!

Howard has my number, I have made a house from scratch, but only two. I made a replica of a rebuild I did, so my dad could have one in his collection. It was a coconut and I hand chopped with scissors cellophane for days and ended up with enough for 2 houses and sore houses. I sold one on ebay, and gave one to my dad. I did make a template of it though so I could make it again someday, since it took so long to measure out each piece. I actually screen printed my own windows on cellophane for these houses too before I got in contact with Ted.....his mylar windows are much much nicer!

I'll put the rebuild first, and the replica in a separate reply.

This is the house I sold on Ebay, if you look closely you can see the coconut is more like flakes than coconut, but I did my best. Wish I would of had Pete's stuff back then!!!!

Thanks so much Paul and Les! My daughter Loralye stands to inherit quite the collection someday. My dad has a couple villages, which I hope to get pics of posted at some point, and my brother just started one this year, and he has no kids as of yet. But she seems to love them, I let her help me set up a little bit this year, but I think next year she'll have even more fun!

Very nice display and rebuild!

I might need some plexiglass as I could not keep the cat out of the village I assemble on a buffet!
