Hey Will - Thats awesome! Silver and gold seem to be the toughest (although Pete has it nailed) to produce. Good luck and keep us posted!

Will, did you ever have any luck figuring this out?
Re: Methinks I made SILVER coconut!
Paul, I had some small success with Silver a few years ago. I believe I started with white coco, then I went to Michael's and bought a metallic silver ink and tinted it with that in an old sour cream container and then let it dry. The ink was less than $5, my stuffs in storage, and I can't remember what brand I got, but that should get you headed in the right direction, I'm pretty sure they only have 2 or 3 brands of metallics. You can see it on the Grain Elevator House I did, which I believe is on the forum somewhere.
I have an original GEH that I still need to repair, and will probably be making more one of these days.

Re: Methinks I made SILVER coconut!
Cool Howard, if I have time this weekend, I can maybe dig around my putzing box and see if I can find the actual silver I used. I may have added a bit of water in with it to help saturate the coco a bit more, or the coco was still wet from making the white. I'm sure the same process would work for gold coco too. If you want a slightly dimmer silver I think I tinted some with a little bit of really diluted Rite dye to get a grey coco base too.
