Hey Will - Thats awesome! Silver and gold seem to be the toughest (although Pete has it nailed) to produce. Good luck and keep us posted!

Paul, I had some small success with Silver a few years ago. I believe I started with white coco, then I went to Michael's and bought a metallic silver ink and tinted it with that in an old sour cream container and then let it dry. The ink was less than $5, my stuffs in storage, and I can't remember what brand I got, but that should get you headed in the right direction, I'm pretty sure they only have 2 or 3 brands of metallics. You can see it on the Grain Elevator House I did, which I believe is on the forum somewhere. :) I have an original GEH that I still need to repair, and will probably be making more one of these days.

Cool Howard, if I have time this weekend, I can maybe dig around my putzing box and see if I can find the actual silver I used. I may have added a bit of water in with it to help saturate the coco a bit more, or the coco was still wet from making the white. I'm sure the same process would work for gold coco too. If you want a slightly dimmer silver I think I tinted some with a little bit of really diluted Rite dye to get a grey coco base too.
