Interesting house on Ebay

Post by PutzinVT »

This is an interesting house.
Current Ebay auction.

Seems they used a 2 level base.
But the cool thing is the paper used as soil between the two levels.

I saw this one pop up in my email, It's really cool! Does anybody know if that is just creased paper around the base? The round tubes on each eave is really neat and unique, not to mention the lack of coco on the roof too. I'm anxious to see what this one goes for...will be watching with interest!

Ah!...the "pagoda"...

most interesting...I think there may be a pix of a similar one somewhere on ted's site...I wonder if the crumpled material could be fabric?...I seem to remember a pix I have of this style house with single-face cardboard roofs...I will post pix if I can find...

You're right Howard. It does look like fabric. Maybe dipped n some kind of hardening adhesive like paper mache mix?

I have a similar house that Papa Ted called a Pagoda house and the roof is basically a lacquie type. Mine is corrugated and simulates the orange tile used on old houses. The base "texture" is dampened paper worked with and glued to simulate stone work. I am hoping Kathi McL gets this one as she has two different ones similar to this and would have a complete set. An interesting side note is that the price sticker on this one is 50 cents and was sold at the Frank S. Hall Hardware. Mine and one of Kathi's has the same sticker. What the heck is Frank S. Hall Hardware anyway??? Tom
