Here’s the next fireplace piece, the Country Church. The church measures 1 3/8 inches by 7/8 inches, and 2 inches tall. Like the other houses, the base is a 2 inch square with a half inch light hole.

The corner fence is straight cut top made from one sided corrugated cardboard. I used the PWD 1s door reduced to fit the opening. The windows can be printed on paper or clear printable vellum. I used red cellophane behind the cross opening. I also used fine cut glitter (clear and red) on the church.

It is very fine and nice to use with the small houses. I forgot to mention I posted the pattern on PDF file.

good morning to all...

quick updates...

finished my version of Lynn's "fireplace cottage"...but my glitter is too coarse...i'm working on a cure and a possible alternative finish...

had to modify the placement of the three LEDs on the top of the light box so that they extend through the mantel and into the hole in the bottom of the houses...see the photos below...problem solved...

got to get started on the church that Lynn posted just posted a short time ago...

i'm also very slowly working on the details and accessory pieces for my fireplace setting...who knows...it might just end up in a diorama-type box...

I like your little house even with the coarse glitter. The most intimidating thing about this project to me is the lighting. I found a tiny string of LED lights that I think I can use for the fireplace without having to do much wiring.
