Hello friends!

Wanted to share with you my latest project. Just finished construction on my first printie. It is a repro of an original that I found good pics of on ebay a while back. I've wanted to do one for some time but never got around to it..... Well now I know why!!!! It took me a month to digitally recreate each dot, line, brick, pillar, window, and door!! Once I got all the graphics reproduced I then made a pattern that syncs up with the graphic skin I created. Those were the easy parts. I got some good advice from Howard about how to apply the graphic to the cardboard...but man is that a bear. It took me 3 tries with a few alterations to the graphics each time. I even had to scrap one whole start. This project has tested every bit of my patience...just hope I'm the wiser for it.
This is the smallest house I think Ive made, it is Pack -O- Fun size...so I guess it's fitting it was one of the hardest.
I still have to add red and white coco to the base and roof, but wanted to share my progress this far. May be a week or another month before I finish, I ran out of white coco and all my coco making supplies are in storage.
I added a pic of some of the failed starts for fun.
Hope everybody is having a wonderful evening!
-Brian

Thank you so much, Will and Lynn!! I do plan to make another, there is one on Ted's site that I was really hoping to do, instead of this one(it's much larger), but I wanted to start off small for my first printie. Very glad I did! I'm taking a slight break from printies though. I'm having so much fun making houses again, there is another one I'm eyeing.... :)

Brian this is incredible work... just beautiful. I would love to see the process of how those graphics are recreated.

Can't wait to see progress on this building.

Thank you for the wonderful compliments! I actually finished up the house this morning. I was thumbing through my box of coco looking for colors for my next project and found that I had enough white to finish.
It was a great learning project, not sure when I'll get to my next printie, but a small tip for anyone attempting one... printing off enough graphic for overlap is key!!!
On to the next one... :)
-Brian

Wow Brian, wonderful job! I love that thick, rich, coconut! Very nice... ;) Here's a pic of mine in progress... I think I'm just gonna "coco" or "glitter" the whole thing out. I made mine a little smaller as to be able to fit in with the "Pack-0-Fun" house category. Thanks so very much Brian for your inspiration on this project. Even though I won't (actually can't! lol..) make it a "printie" as of yet, I love the house style and just had to build it!

Happy Weekend all!...

Looks great Brian! Looks like your Printie talent meets or exceeds your talent in the other categories of builds! Thx for sharing!
