Good day folks!!

Just cranked out my newest house over that last couple nights. It's the Jan 2010 HOM. Thanks to Steve for posting the latest cool ebay auction, it inspired me to do a house I've always wanted to do. This isn't the same house in the auction, but it is one of 3 known "Boulder Houses" as Ted called them.

This one is so cool in my humblest of opinions. It has the great stone work paint job, and cool little girl figure. It also has a really neat foil roof, I had to order foil...hopefully it gets here in the next day or so.
I'm also really excited about this one because I get to use some of my screen printed windows that I made...5 of them!!! It seems I almost always pick projects that just have red cello or paper mullions. I'm currently working on screening some new windows, one that has never been reproduced before...can't wait to get it finished up...I have a house that needs it badly.

Hope everybody had a great weekend!!
-Brian

Thanks Will!
Got a little done today, primed the house and put a layer of coco on. Might have to take a break for a day or so til the foil shows up. I'll be posting pics of the little girl with the dolly figure soon.

Just finished my Jan 2010 HOM Purple Boulder house repro!

I loved making this house, so many unique things on it. I tried to get as close to the original on Ted's site as I could, obviously this house is much more vibrant, but I like to imagine that's the way it looked when it rolled off the assembly line. The figure is one of Pete's, I'll try to remember to get some photos of it and add it to my figure painting thread.

One thing you might note if you look at the original and mine, are the arch windows I used are different. I couldn't tell if the ones in the pic of the original were Papa Ted replacements or not. But underneath it is another "boulder house" with the ones I used and they are clearly original, and I liked the look of them better, so that's what I rolled with. :)

I had so much fun doing this house I've decided to repro all 3 boulder houses. I'll be starting the second one very soon.... I have one project I hope to share with everybody in-between this one and the next. I started it while waiting for the foil for the roof to arrive.

My pics keep coming out a bit dark, the purple and red areas are actually much lighter in real life. I'm going to see if I can find a lighter color back drop for my next houses to clear that up.

Hope everybody is having an awesome weekend!
Thanks
-B

wow.

You must have a lot of coco saved up.
You keep making houses that need it.

Thanks so much fellas!!

Steve, LOL, I do have a large box of coco stockpiled. It is starting to dwindle, but I did get out my coco making supplies, so I'll be making fresh soon. The pink and green on this house are the leftover from the house big mansion house I made for my daughter.

Will, can't wait to see your boulder house amigo!!

Hi Brian, another great repro!! So many wonderful features, I love the little girl. You do an unbelievable job with your coconut and windows!

It would be nice to have one pic with all 3 houses.

Thanks so much Lynn! :) I agree, I think it's great how much is going on, on this group of houses. I'm finishing up another house right now, then I'm starting my second boulder house. I'll definitely take a group shot when all 3 are done.
