Now you don't see too many Lakkie houses show up on Ebay. But here's 2. In pretty good condition too. http://www.ebay.com/itm/112409749016 Attachment: Vintage-rare-cardboard-Christmas-Lakkie-putz-houses-Japan-_57.jpg [ 141.38 KiB | Viewed 8284 times ] Attachment: Vintage-rare-cardboard-Christmas-Lakkie-putz-houses-Japan.jpg [ 159.93 KiB | Viewed 8284 times ] Steve |

Do you think they are originals? I noticed they aren't marked Japan and the seller thinks the red house is new. They are good pics to build reproductions from. Interesting. |

Yes Laurie, they're real. I just bought some houses from her recently and she has quite an extensive rare collection. Here's where the "DE" of MADE IN JAPAN is in the pic below. As you can see, the identifier part had been mostly cut out to install a light. The other picture shows a white bottom. That you can plainly see has been replaced. That's why you can't see the "JAPAN" stamp. From what I know, they (the owner of the house(s) did this for their train layouts.
