Here's some new fairy houses I just built as of late. I'm trying to start a putz house building class locally for kids on their Summer vacation. These were made from using the cutting dies I own. :) Also, my 500th post. Woohooo!! Wow, am I a veteran now? lol...

Will...

summer camp project for kids!...what a great way to introduce a new generation to the hobby!...I hope you can pull it together...

I can tell you from first hand observation that summer camp is big business...parents spend many dollars filling the long hot days with activities...I would suggest you get in touch with a church or religious community alliance that sponsors summer camps...

Love the doors! Are those printed on vellum? And what a great new craft for kids to get into - super idea.

Thanks for the info Howard. I am already building a FB page about it and applying on local "Day Camp" websites. I'm going to give it 100%!

Yes BurghGal, it's vellum. I love the stuff, but it's a bugger to glue down! lol...

I'm excited to do this little enterprise. I do hope it does well. :)

Will,
I notice that you use the Sizzix Village Dwelling house, but the windows are smaller on some of them. How do you do that?

Also, I am very interested in how you plan to make the houses - have them prebuilt and then let the kids do the painting, glittering, and add all the details? I ask that because I am planning on having a Little Glitter House Making party in November for my co-workers who like my houses. My current plan is to have a bunch of die cut houses prebuilt and then have my co-workers cover them with either paint, papers, glitter and then add details. My plan is not fully hatched, that's why I'm asking.

Thank you for sharing your cool ideas.
Lucy

Here is another one I just got through building. It's my own design with some die cut windows and door. Used some different kinds of textures/elements for the outside. Enjoy!...

Great stuff. The different lighting from within makes a striking difference - great way to transition the same house from Halloween to Christmas.
