For some time I have been looking for the vintage Barclay Santa riding his sleigh with 8 tiny reindeer. I reached out to Barclay and they are reproducing this piece!! They are planning to have it ready for Christmas 2012. We can start checking the site around July. Yea!!! :)

Thanks for the head's-up.

Saw three of the most common antique Barclays and a bunch of crap toys in a box at a flea market last spring. No prices. Pointed out the Barclays and asked the fellow how much those were. $14@ or something like that. "Sorry, thanks," I said. He became red in the face and told me I was an idiot to pass that up, got up out of his chair and more-or-less chased me from his booth. I couldn't figure out if he thought that was an effective sales technique. Do you suppose some folks are actually intimidated into buying from such people?
