here are pix of a southwest style church that uses more of the new windows paul has made available… this church was inspired by one tom hull posted…here’s the link… http://www.cardboardchristmas.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=307 you can see the “arched-3“, “arched-4” and “pinwheel-1” windows i will use here… http://cardboardchristmas.com/resources/door_and_window_graphics/printed_stained_glass_windows.pdf and here’s a link to the topic on mounting velum windows with no distortion… http://www.cardboardchristmas.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=347 the base measures 4” x 5 ½”…overall height will be 5 ½” including the base and steeple… (tom’s didn’t have a steeple…but i’m going to add one to this project)… fence post are 1” lengths of 3/8” diameter wood dowel with holes drilled for bamboo skewer rails… what you can’t see is a length of skewer glued into the bottom of the post that extends down into the base about ½”… i’ll probably do a sand finish…white or off white body, terracotta roofs, tan or brown fence and a “green snow base”… my very best regards… Howard… Attachments: pueblo project 005-001.JPG [ 83.5 KiB | Viewed 51603 times ] pueblo start 001 (4).JPG [ 98.44 KiB | Viewed 51603 times ] pueblo project 008-001.JPG [ 101.87 KiB | Viewed 51603 times ]

good morning to all... finished the small church this morning...changed the windows to the "arched-1" and "arched-5"...but kept the "pinwheel-1" windows...also used a paper window rather than the velum... yes...I know it's very colorful...but just wait 50 years and see what it looks like... my very best regards... howard... regarding finish... apply two coats of white primer...sprinkle craft sand or bird cage gravel onto the last coat before it dries... after it dries, touch up any small areas you missed with more primer and sand...the final color finish is regular craft paint... i'm certain there are other ways to get the same look...but this works for me... my very best regards...howard

Those window graphics were the ones Brian Ballard originally designed for Ted, printed on a color laser on vellum. Brian's graphics are available here if you want to download and print them yourself. http://cardboardchristmas.com/resources ... indows.pdf If you'd rather buy them preprinted professionally, Pete has them, too. If you would like to try the Hacienda color version, which have darker colors, click on the following link: http://cardboardchristmas.com/resources ... ndows2.pdf I've sent Pete this graphic as well, so he could probably print them up for you, too if you'd prefer. All told, I am just delighted with the way folks are pulling together and the amazing projects that are resulting. In the immortal words of George Peppard - I love it when a plan comes together.
