Post subject:  southwest style train station project...

greetings to all...

this "southwest style train station" is based entirely on the "southwest style church" that can be found a few topics down the board index...

all i have done is add another tower, changed the windows, added a clock and "vigas"...i'll be adding a passenger waiting platform in place of a snow-type base...see the drawing and the progress photo...

the "vigas"...(log roof supports)...are made from "lollipop sticks" which you can find in the candy craft department at most craft stores...

this station will be right a home with old tinplate toy trains or the newer On-30 trains...here's a link to one of paul's train sites if you need more about running trains and their connection to villages...

my very best regards...

howard...

Man, Howard you don't waste anytime! It looks like a really great start, cant wait to see what it turns out like. The vigas have got to be a first on a Christmas house!

I think this is what you were looking for and in this instance I believe they are to represent cannon not vigas.

Tom, those are disturbing. Are the little ones supposed to represent quonset huts? What era would you say?
