Hope everybody is enjoying their Memorial Day weekend!

Aside from having a birthday party for my daughter who turned 4 yesterday, I began work on a repro of the 10th Ave Angel house. This house is extra special to me because it is the closest of all the MIJ houses that looks like the one I grew up in. Because of the rarity of the original I am making one that I'll probably give to my Dad and Brother. I can't wait to share it with them, as I'm so thrilled to own one.

I altered the house I'm building from the original I own to match the one that is in the movie. If you look at the second story, the movie house has 4 windows and 3 portholes. The left side of the movie house has a few more windows than mine too.
My original is missing a tree, and a fence post that I will be replacing along the way with this new build.

Hoping to shoot it with it's first coat of primer tonight.

I have never heard of that movie until today. Now I will need to seek it out so I can see what the movie house looks like! I can't wait to see the finished house!

Lee, Antoinette's husband John took a couple of screen captures from the movie. Antoinette sent them to Papa Ted and he published them here:

Thanks for the kind words and encouragement!

Howard it would be great to do all the houses of the month! I may do the whole "fair set" for fun! I own one other house from that group.
I love working in front of the computer! I do all my templates on the computer, it is really easy to size stuff and if something happens to my pattern I can print a new one. :)

Paul, thats cool! If you want good pics of my original, that one might be neat to put up because of the small variations in the windows.

Maria, Thanks!, and I just ordered some of those little red Pips from the link you gave out a while back, can't wait to get them for my trees!

Lee, I haven't seen the movie either, we have a neat video store here in Portland, and I keep forgetting to check to see if they have it. I love the screen grabs on Ted's site, and of course Antoinette's house is amazing, I have pictures of it up in the background while I was working on the second story windows for my new one.

Here are some more pics, a couple in primer and I did a little coco work today too.
