Wonderful as always! By the way, what kind of train is that?

about the train...it's "marx" brand...not made anymore...i gathered all the pieces on ebay and thru contacts on train selling/trading sites over the last year or so...

the loco is all plastic...only runs forward...no headlight or smoke feature...it is complete and all original...

the cars are old salvaged marx tin cars which i primed and repainted olive drab after i cleaned off the dirt, dust, grime and rust...the u.s. army graphics are computer-cut adhesive back vinyl letters...

i've always wanted an original marx army train...however...just like certain putzes...the prices are pretty steep...will beyond what i want to pay...so i made my own version...

my very best regards...

It's gorgeous!

I love the story of your train! I think it makes it even more special because you put lots of time and love into it.

So is Pine Mountain Valley on military alert?

paul...good morning...

no military alert...pine mountain valley is "welcoming the troops home"...the boys have been away too long...way too long...

perhaps the white christmas many of them have been dreaming of will come true this year... :D ...

Howard, my apologies for missing this post. I'm slowly, but surely, getting used to the forum and am now catching up on unread posts. The layout, the tree, and the photography are all great!!
