good morning…

here’s a small house i’ve started…it’s based on one of the houses that was pictured in a recent post about an eBay offering…pictures of the my version, the vintage inspiration house and patterns for the major pieces are shown below…of course, mine is not an exact copy…

the total height, including base, is about 4”…base measures 3 1/2” x 4 1/2” x 3/4” thick…probably be a mica and glitter finish…not a coconut…also looking at hand cut foil window mullions…

more later…howard…

good morning...

the gold foil window mullions are done...not perfect...but from a viewing distance...you might notice the imperfections...... the cutting templates are shown below the windows...i mark the window pane corner locations with a pushpin...then cut between the holes with a super sharp xacto knife...

hope to prime house and base soon...

howard...

I don't even know how you can cut those windows so precisely. I am amazed. I do like your push pin idea with sharp xacto knife. I will have to try it sometime. Lucy

Lucy...
remember...I only show the mullions that turned out good enough to use...what you don't see are the ones in the trash can...this time I only had to cut out a total of four to get three good ones...
Here's a hint...I sometimes cut out the mullions first...then cut the window openings in the cardboard to fit the mullions...

finished...not anywhere near the same colors as the original house...no coconut either...but it fits in with all the other "pack-o-fun" size houses...

my very best regards...howard...

As always Howard, nicely done! I am gonna try to tackle some mullion windows myself today. Wish me luck (I'm gonna need it!) Time to change the Xacto blade!... :D

It's a very happy looking house. The foil windows look great.

I love the colors. That is a great Christmas house. Wonderful. Lucy

P.S. Howard, are you going to write a sequel to the original "Pack-O-Fun" book? Your set of houses is so nice that I think it needs to be a book.
