Just got through building this for my Mother. I call it the "Princess Putz" cottage. Her birthday is next month. It was a fun build! Enjoy...

Will, That is so cute. What did you make the base out of - rather, what did you coat the base with to get that texture? I really love the balcony and the little window boxes and the colors. Are you sure you mom doesn't read this forum?

I like the snow effect. What did you use for that?

The base looks think. Multi layers of corrugated?

So darling! I too love the window boxes, but my favorite part is the chimney. The code enforcers would give you a big A+ because it is at least 2' taller than the roof ridge. I also love the colors and the gold window trim. Your mom will love it!

Just too sweet... How did you get the texture on the roof and what did you use for the chimney inserts? Love the colors... Debbie

Thanks everyone for your kind comments. The textured "snow" is my own coconut brand that took me quite a while to figure out! It finally came out sparkling white-- just the way I like it. I also made my own version of a "snow-tex" product that I had been working on for over a year. All of the colors that you see is my own recipe for a texturing product I created throughout the year as well. Hmmm, I have a harebrained idea-- Do any of you think I have "marketable" products here? LOL.. The stand for the house is just a small recycled box from a card game I bought years ago Steve. Yes Howard, those are flower boxes! I just fashioned my own chimney Deb. I used some chopstick pieces for the smoke stack part of it. The golden foil was some German-made scraps I had laying around Kathi. I finally got to use them for something! I even tried my hand at my own version of a raffia fence. That was fun.. Again, a BIG thanks for your comments everyone... :)

Actually, I hadn't noticed, but that's a very nice fence, too. :-)
