speaking of mica...i just learned a hard lesson...hopefully this may save someone else ruining a house like i just did this week...
i'm trying to salvage the project...(a small storybook looking house with a front brick chimney)...not sure if i can save it...

what went wrong?...

i unintentionally processed the mica flakes in a small coffee been blender for way too long...the result?...not good...the mica was more of a dust than a small flake...the mica dust looks like gray mud when applied with white glue...it doesn't let the color show through...

so...don't process the flakes into a power...from now on i'm only going to run mica through a hand crank flour mill just one time...and will probably go back to mixing mica flakes in the clear man-made glitter i've used for years...

Howard, one reason my web articles are all so long is that I publish everything I did wrong as well as everything I did right. :-)
