good afternoon...

update pix...how the torches are progressing...and the black card stock window mullions...

i'll paint the torches first...then glue in the "flames"...

The torches are inspired as is the rest of the house. Very cool.

good morning to all...

here's the base...a little over 4" x 6" x 5/8" thick...posts are irregular pieces of wood about 3/8" square x 1 3/8" long that stick up above the base about 1"...

i made the barbwire from 1/4" hardware cloth...the barbs are what's left when you trim the cross wires up close to a continuous length of wire...the wire is glued in shallow saw kerfs made in the sides of each post...

the blue areas on the base are painter's tape to keep the finish off the areas where the step and column bases will be glued...

the project needs a "flattie" for the front yard...here's the pattern...it will be made just like all the other ones...

Of course, there had a be a "flattie". The witch is great. The details on this house are really fun. I'm working on mine. All I've done is cutout the house so far, but I am working on it.

I want to prime the project real soon and add a little sand texture...guess I've been a creative slump...it happens to all of us I'm sure...
