I finished another halloween clock house (well, almost, I have to add hanging bats for the pendulum). I used 3 die cut Ravens for this house. It's a little cleaner and less distressed looking than most of my houses. Lucy

It's really nice Lucy. I enjoy the variety of houses you make. Lots of fun details. |

These are my last 2 clocks houses for awhile. I really like that they can hang on the wall, but I never could make them look like what I envisioned. One clock is not Halloween, it's the "Red, White, and Bluebird Clock House". It could be for the Fourth of July or I may add some snow so it's for winter - haven't decided yet. The other one is definitely a Halloween house with a bats flying everywhere. I tried to be bolder about the colors, but I kept painting over the vivid purple. It is supposed to look like it's shrouded in a foggy mist - that's the intent anyway.

Hi Lucy, to more great clock houses! I really like the way you painted the Halloween house, it does look misty and the bat is a nice touch. Did you make the calldron? I am looking for one. |

Yes, I made the cauldron out of sculpey clay. I rolled a little ball of aluminum foil so the clay wouldn't be so thick. Then I rolled out some black clay flat and wrapped it around the aluminum ball. I flattened the bottom. I covered the top with some green clay and some little balls to represent bubbling goo. I wrapped a little strip around the top and flared it out. I made 2 little handles and 3 feet for the base. It's a little crude, but it works for me. |
