PUTZ HOUSE COLLECTOR'S GUIDE, A lifetimes work

Post by Pete R.Oehmen »

Hello Fellow Putzer's. Thought I'd stop by and share with you the progress of the "Putz House Collector's Guide". It is a compilation of 11 books encompassing 53 sub chapters and growing by the day. I have purchase profession book binding equipment so now the collection will look handsome sitting on a shelf or coffee table. I'm afraid even if I can live another 15 years I still won't put a dent into what needs to be done before then. There are 3 more books that I haven't even started yet not to mention that I have to have my book "The History of the Putz House" finished and published before the Golden Glow of Christmas Past convention in July. A really Big Show. Les and I are putting together definitive show of Putz Houses at this convention's museum room. Should be SPECTACULAR! The best of the best. If interested in any of the books you can contact me at oehmen@sbcglobal.net Thank you for looking, Pete

Pete...

If old Howard wasn't in the Winter of his life...(almost 79 years young) I'd buy every book...but a my age, if I don't have it by now, I probably don't need it...

I just wonder if folks know the number of man-hours and the monetary investment you've made to put all these volumes together...it's a true labor of love...

About the Glow display you are doing...I hope there will be pictures and commentary that we all can look at...and not on a members only Facebook page or something like that...

My very best regards...

Howard...

Thank you Howard for the kind words. It's a true compliment coming from you. Cardboard Christmas will be the first to get photos from our venture. I might even sneak in a preview now and then. LOL Howard, if you could pick one volume of the Collect's Guide which one would you choose?

Pete...
That's a very hard question to answer...but the one with the yellow cover..."Best of the Best Coconuts"...would be the place to start for any collector or maker...that would be my recommendation...

Wow! I'm brand new to this, and I'm obsessed with these houses and their history and restoring the 8 I have. Though my plans for working on them has come to a halt for a bit, I will be emailing about the books! I would love to own a set. Thank you for all your hard work!
