Post subject:  Hi everyone!

Thank you so much for allowing me in to the group. There's not much snow here in Phoenix so I'm making my own :D I stumbled across putz houses purely by accident while doing a google image search for something else entirely. That led me to Big Indoor Trains, Howard and then here. Howard has been immensely generous with his time, advice and patterns. I always wanted one of those ceramic Christmas villages but could never justify the expense - now I can make my own! I've been lurking in the forums for a couple of years now, soaking up the info and admiring all the beautiful work everyone does. I do a variety of other crafts as well and find that my little glitter houses draw on all my experience in pretty much everything and I'm looking forward to learning more.

April, sorry this didn't come up right away. For some reason I didn't see it, but I've "flipped a switch" so all your messages should post right away now.

Thanks for joining our little club, and thanks for the photo. I love the flatties, and your houses look great, too. I can tell you've been following Howard's projects for a while.

Welcome aboard!

April also posted this content which got "hung up" in the system.

-----------------------------------
I found this page via Howard, who i found via Big Indoor Trains, which I found purely by accident. I've been reading the forums and enjoying all the gorgeous work you guys do and picking up some incredibly useful info too - thank you:)

I do quite a few different crafts, mostly needlework/sewing, but dabble in a bit of everything. Always wanted one of those ceramic Christmas villages but could never justify the expense. I was delighted to find all this info and am deeply grateful to Howard for all his help. Now I have my village and it's even better that I made it myself:)

Looks great, April. Thanks for sharing.

April,
So happy you are here and posting photos right away, too! Your village and background are wonderful. You even have flatties. The colors are unique and beautiful. And yes, you can make your village instead of purchasing a ceramic village and it will be much cuter.

We look forward to seeing more projects.
Lucy

Glad you are here, April. Welcome!

Your houses are great and I love all of the fine details. But, Like Howard, I am especially intrigued by the nighttime sky.

And as a long time toy car collector, I have to add that every neighborhood needs a car or two. Fortunately many toy cars are cheap and with a little paint and spray on snow, they fit right in.

Thanks for sharing pics of your creations.
