Love it. The magazine photo reminds me of the house on the old TV show the Beverly Hillbillies. You just need a "cement pond"

Debbie W.: It definitely has that look. The house used for filming Beverley Hillbillies is the Kirkeby mansion in Bel Air CA. Google can provide many great images of it. The house was also used in filming of the movie Cinderfella.

I love this house. I come back from time to time to enjoy it as well as Howard's version. Did you ever use it in holiday decorating like you planned to?

Thanks for your interest, Lee. No, the big house remained safely stored away all through the holiday season. My friend who built it stored it in his garage, and I always wondered why it didn't have a more distinguished place of display. It is BIG. Finding an enclosed space for display is going to be tough, and sharing my home with severals precious kitties makes a secure spot a requirement.

Hello,
I fell in love with this deco mansion from the beginning. Here is my version reduced to fit on a 2X4 base like Howard's Ten Cent City
