Hello fellow enthusiasts. Over the years there has been some fun conversation about the Walt Disney "Mickey Mouse" Putz Houses. Here's what I know for now, I'm always adding new information as it becomes available. First off there are 6 Disney houses (that I know of). There are six yellow styles, I have 5 of them in my collection and Tom has one that I don't have. There are five different, composition and wire, figures and a lamp post. Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Pluto and two different of the nephews make up the set. If you've ever seen these pieces close up you'd marvel at their details and construction! The biggest question always asked about these houses is were they licensed? Yes indeed they were licensed by Walt Disney Enterprises W. D. E. (see photo) These houses are from about 1935. Soon after this the company became Walt Disney Promotions.
There is also a green house series that are a bit larger that the yellow's but I've yet to see a Disney figure on one? If you've seen any of the green ones you'll know that they fit into this set. I'm including a picture of a Greeny. You can see that there is a hole where one of the figures was stationed. From it's size I think it had a Lamp Post. I'd love to see your pictures if you'd like to add some insight to these Disney houses?
