Well I did it again. I duplicated one in my collection. ( I believe it is called the Pete Oehmen Syndrome.) LOL The one on the left Came from Papa Ted's collection and required some restoration though it was in pretty good condition It did require some coconut touch up on the roof and a tree and figure. The other house I have had for quite awhile and forgot about it - I unearthed it recently and discovered it is not EXACTLY the same as the one I just got not too long ago. The biggest difference is the coconut on the dormer is a different color, sort of on the order of cheddar Cheese colored whereas the other is a nice yellow. The base of the one on the right is a different color too but that could be due to aging. AND the Santa is an original on the one on the right whereas the one from Ted's collection has one that I made.

The little Santa is particularly well modeled. Notice the white paint has flaked off his white ruff on his cap exposing the clay beneath. In the background of these two figures is an interesting rough textured porch and I believe it may be ground shell. And the last photo in this set is of the bottom of the Papa Ted bungalow.

This shows the stamped export marks on the two and they appear to be the same stamp. One is purple and one black. The smeary one is the one on Teds house.

Nice set of photos. I'm glad you were able to photo them together to show the consistency as well as the differences. I also love your Santa. I'm glad you explained that the one export mark was smeary, because I'm having trouble focusing one eye some days and I thought it was me. |
