Hello from Texas

If you would like to let the rest of us know a bit about you, especially if you have any special skills or knowledge that the rest of the group might be able to draw on, that would be good. Also, if you have a blog or other web resource that's related to what we do here. . .

...smiling...such a very warm welcome here indeed!!! And feeling pushed to start cutting cardboard. It has been cold here in Texas...relatively speaking ,of course, but enough, so that my favorite place is under the covers. From the bed, I have lately been scouting out a few supplies I will need. I was planning to try to buy some gofun from Japan and got a bit side tracked for a few days into nihonga painting. But Paul’s cheerful message in my e-mail has steered me back to putzing. Have any of you tried using gofun for the base paint and snow like the original putz houses had? ...just curious! I actually found a bargain today on some used acrylic paints and gesso....I suppose I will stick with this to start.

Houston! Have you ever found any vintage putz houses in the antique shops around Texas?

No, not really. I think they were not real common down here but I do recall seeing them at the five and dime when I was a kid.... Many years ago. LOL
