Greetings to all...

It's a new year...and time for a new series of Dolly houses...if you are not familiar with Dolly houses...
go here for a little history... https://cardboardchristmas.com/papateds/Hom2009.html ...

And here is one of the first Dolly projects posted on the forum a couple of years ago...https://www.cardboardchristmas.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=1006

There are quite a few more Dolly house patterns available...well over a dozen I'm sure...which can be found under the Putz Patterns forum topic heading...

We know the house that inspired the patterns is a Dolly because of the folded corner fences that you can almost make out in the photo of the vintage original shown below...the windows and door in the vintage original are what looks like colored tissue paper with silver printed details...however Lynn and I have decided to stick with the red and green printed paper ones that are seen in most Dolly houses...I'll rustle up the Dolly windows and post them later...i took the liberty of adding a round wreath window above the door...it would also make a great clock house project...here's a link to some clock faces Paul has made available...https://cardboardchristmas.com/html/printed_resources.html ...you may have to adjust the diameter of the hole to fit the clock face...

There are several more Dolly reproduction house planned for 2020...so stay tuned for updates and more patterns...

I am really looking forward to this series. I try to share them on the Glitter and Putz House Facebook group as well as my own group - Paper Houses and Paper Crafts. I hope that is ok. Everyone loves them. And I always point people to this site because it is a wealth of information and inspiration.

Thank you, Howard.
Lucy

update...1-7-2020...

greetings to all...

slowly working on this project...added the first coat of color over the white primer...note...the color coat does not have to be an exact match for the extra fine glitter...just close will work because the glitter covers so well...

the windows and doors for dolly reproductions are below as well as the picture of my progress...

more later this week...that's the plan...stay tuned...

howard...

ps...lucy...yes...ok to post on your sites...cause i know you will identify and tie back to cardboard christmas when you do...

Update...1-10-2020...
Just about finished with this house...but have decided the two trees are too much and over power the house...going to only put only one tree...a slightly thinner one...I’ll send a pattern for it when I post the picture of the completed house...
Howard

Nice interpretation Howard. I'm still looking for the right material to silk screen the tissue windows and doors for the original Dolly's. Do you have any idea of where I might find some?

So pretty Howard. Are you making bases for all your Dollys?
