North Pole Village - My 2021 Project

Here's a place to post patterns you want to share, link to patterns you find elsewhere on the internet, and request particular kinds of patterns you're looking for. I've moved a few existing messages here to get the forum started.

Barb...
Go with the door in an arch...I “borrowed” it from a house Karl Fey made years ago!...

These houses are so inspiring. I love the variations that everyone has done on the houses.

Steve, question for you. Are the SVG files all the same scale? I am using them to make a "downsized" village but want to be sure they are all the same scale.

Thanks, Barb

Yes. The patterns are drawn in an 8.5x11 work space in QCAD and then the .dxf files get exported to the PDF and SVG formats 1:1

Happy Sunday everyone,
Here is my version of Steve Leed’s Santa’s Workshop.
The sign over the door is Finnish for Santa’s Workshop or at least as close as I could get it. Lapland seems to have claimed Santa and the North Pole for their own. There are a number of Santa villages as well as Santa festivals in this northern part of Finland.
I used coffee stirrers for some of the wooden accents; something I have never done before.
All in all, I am happy with it.
Now on to the rest of Steve’s village!
