2021 Fireplace putz village 95% wire free

Please use this forum for photos of your putz villages - some of you don't make your own houses, but you still display a lot of artistry when you combine and arrange them. And the rest of us would love to see your work. Again, it works best if you resize your photos to 800px wide or less before you upload them - Paul

2021 Fireplace putz village 95% wire free

Post by OKPat »

Hello ... 2021 brought me a new way to light up the putz houses in the form of battery operated wireless 1.5" round
LED lights with a remote operator, which meant no more running wires inside/outside the houses and under the pegboard, thus saving me an entire
day of set up time. Hooray! The lights are small enough to fit through most of the putz houses (but not the very smallest ones) and I
can place an extra light in the towers of the high school building, the churches, etc. The other advantage is that I'm not limited to placing houses
near the grid holes in the pegboard. The lights are adjustable in terms of brightness and color, and are submersible, which could be good if your Xmas party gets that wild.

Merry Christmas, all.

OKPat…

Another “visual feast”…never disappointing…I would like to see a link to the LED lighting you are using…and expect there are other forum followers who would be interested…

Howard…

Almost forgot to ask…the hedges around the park area…are they wood or something else?…

I too have discovered the joys of battery wire lights---a section of my large Christmas Tree putz is lit this way in my 2021 village. I will put up photos later.

That being said, this is a real visual treat for the eyes---and I too love the hedges!

Hi guys,

Thanks for your nice comments.

The LED's were purchased on Amazon, and manufactured by KUCAM. The hedges, as far as I can tell, were made of compressed
sawdust dyed green. They were part of a set from the 40's or 50's, possibly intended for a dollhouse garden, and included a very
funky fountain.

Those hedges seem like a very doable project or replication....I'm already pondering!
