If you would like to let the rest of us know a bit about you, especially if you have any special skills or knowledge that the rest of the group might be able to draw on, that would be good. Also, if you have a blog or other web resource that's related to what we do here. . .

I've been a lurker here for a decade-plus; finally got around to asking for, and graciously receiving, a membership. I'm a toy train guy first and foremost, but have a deep appreciation for the "crafting" that goes into creating a wonderful holiday display. I hope I can add just a small bit as compared to the vast amount I've received from this place.

From north-central Maryland, thanks for having me.

Welcome, Paul.

For the rest of you, this Paul R. has a totally different last name from the Paul R. that is holding this site together with bailing wire and twine.

That's why he's using a different member name.

Paul, a lot of folks use trains with their towns. That's why we have a section for "Electric Train Questions."

Thanks for the warm welcome, Paul. I wondered if a signature of Paul R. might cause confusion, lol. Certainly appreciate all of your efforts at keeping this place going while adding me to the member list.

I'll be glad to post updates or answer questions in the electric train topic if I can, and I'll certainly make every effort not to "swamp the boat" with posts!
