Happy New Year fellow enthusiasts. Our local museum, Geneva Lake Museum, decorated it's hall this last Christmas season with Christmas Trees. 47 local businesses enter the competition to see who could put together a winning combination of form, color and glam. Our own Linda S. and myself entered under the application of my business, Pete' Printing. Over a month and a half 2994 paid visitors voted, by ballet, on their favorite tree. When all was said and done Linda and I won First Place with our PUTZ HOUSE TREE! (see pictures) Even my good friend, Charlene Klein, the mayor of Lake Geneva attended the ceremony. Also my friend Ed Schwinn, of the famed Schwinn Bicycle Co., announced the opening of the exhibit. Edward is a board member of the museum.
To make it possible to easily light each of the putz houses I invented the Putz House Pigtail. This extends the light away from the original tree light string to the back of the house. I then 3D printed a light bulb clip that holds the LED bulb in position in the back opening of the house. These clips are a modification from the ones that I designed for my Putz House Remote Control Lighting System. This pigtail light allowed us to put a light in each and every house on our Christmas Tree with ease.

What an ingenious idea making these clips, will you be selling them?

Thank you for your kind words Miss Lynn. Yes I am selling these. I'll have to do a time study on building these to see what I might charge.

Pete,
Just happened to access this entry--your tree is fantastic!! And the clips for lighting the houses is ingenious!
I have been using icicle lights for my tabletop displays, but I always have a lot of leftover lights that just lie there.
You have given me inspiration to become inventive--so what if I sacrifice a string of lights in the process!
Also, I have not posted anything for several years, but I am a frequent "looker."

Linda and Pete…
I’m embarrassed to admit I think I missed seeing this topic when first posted…it gets three thumbs up for creativity and effectiveness…those small, incandescent bulbs seem to illuminated the houses better than most LEDs, which give off a blueish light…
