MY FIRST TINSEL TREE EVER, FRENCH THEMED PUTZ

Post by maria »

Up until now I only did three trees every year but...a friend of mine convinced me to get a silver tinsel "feather tree" from Gumps--after it went on sale of course--and now I'm doing four with villages! These little houses are addicting!

Anyway, I decided that this would be a French themed Marie Antoinette type tree and set about making ornaments for it all year. The centerpiece of this putz however, is a cathedral putz--or Notre Maria as we're calling it--created by Howard Lamey of littleglitterhouses.com

It's very large as you can see--with an independent LED lighting source--and was worth every penny. I just hope to take better pictures soon.

Thank you so much. It's much shinier than this but I can't get the lighting right with or without the color wheel. And yes indeed--putzs are addicting!

A French theme! You can tell someone's a true collector if he or she has the inventory to display by country ....

LOL! Actually I made all the ornaments myself--the church--NOTRE MARIA as everyone calls it--is a Howard Lamey creation--the rest of the stuff I got for a song at flea markets and such--except for the ship!
