strange houses on ebay???

If you have an unusual piece that you have questions about, this is the place to post them. Photos are VERY welcome, though it helps if you reduce them to 800 wide before you upload them. If you can't reduce them yourself, post them anyway and I'll try to reduce them when I have time.

strange houses on ebay???

Post by Colleen »

Hi Paul, Tom, and everyone else. Long time, no chit chat, but the season is quickly approaching. There are some houses listed right now on ebay which I've never seen before and would like anyone's opinion. The listing #161142450587. There are 11 houses in total, a haceinda, some very nice coconuts, then in the bottom row of pictures, spectacular, elaborate, houses with special fences. Are these houses old, or did someone make them more recently. They just look too good to be very old but would love to know the answer. There's also another set of 3 really great old coconuts on too. Thanks for any help and opinions. Best wishes...Colleen

Thanks Maria, I'm going to go to Ted's place and see if I can see them. If only I was rich, they would be mine. Seller had absolutely no idea what any of them were, I contacted him to tell him and directed him to Ted's. I bet they sell for a huge price for the group.

Right on Maria, they're SUPER LAKKIES!! What a rare treat to even see them, I keep going to the listing just to look at them. The detail on the fencing is just out of this world.

Aren't they just the most beautiful things you've ever seen. I've spoken alot with the seller, they belonged to his wife's grandmother. They were found when they cleaned out a store the grandmother had 30 years ago. They were obviously kept in a dry warm place, well wrapped. I can see very little damage. Doug, the seller, has been offered $$$ to end the auction, not sure how much, but luckily he said no. I'm so glad you got the pictures for the collection for all to see. Thanks for doing that.

The roofs are cool.

I wonder how they made the shingle pattern in the roof.
