There is a very handy online calculator that can also be used to figure out the miter angle for the multi-sided roofs of varying pitches. It is meant for cutting them on the table saw but you won't need the blade angle function it produces, just the miter setting. All you have to enter is the number of side and the degree of the roof pitch you want. You can use various graphic programs or free 2D CAD drafting programs and generate lines rotated to the angle you get as results. I print them out and make my own custom drafting triangles that way that are very accurate for some of the unusual angles that are generated. I used to do it on a scientific calculator with trig formulas but this online calculator is a major time saver, no math headaches needed!
