two peak house with star window...

Post by Howard »

good afternoon...

attention: les...this should answer your question..."what's next?"... :D

i've admired this little house for a long time...especially the interesting roof peaks and the front star window...my version will be on a 3/4" thick base versus the flat base on the original...it will also have a "porthole" fence on both sides...

it will have a coconut finish...green body...red roof and fence...snow base...and the usual other details...probably a printed paper door and not an acetate one like the original...

after i'm finished...and if anyone is interested...i'll post the pattern...

my very best regards...howard...

Great choice, Howard! One of my favs. We had one under our tree when I was little and I always looked for it. Good to see it again. Thanks.

The star window and uneven peaks are great! Are you going to put cellophane/mylar behind the star? Looking fwd to seeing this one progress!

good evening...

ok, paul...no "pastel default" here... ...

i think the house looks better with the lights on...the red acetate windows and star don't show up well against the dark green...

when i make another one...i'll use yellow paper mullion windows...even around the star...

this is the first time i have use a gold tree...it was a regular green one...i spray painted and added some glitter...

the coconut chop is still not fine enough...i'm still learning how to make it so it's not quite so fuzzy...

my very best regards...howard...

Howard, I really like this one a lot. I think the colors are very festive for the Christmas season.
