Making a limousine "flattie" for Upton Hall Abbey project...

What kind of figures have been used with cardboard Christmas houses and villages, where do you get appropriate figures today, how do you make, prepair, repair or otherwise maintain figures?

Making a limousine "flattie" for Upton Hall Abbey project...

Post by Howard »

greetings to all...

my "upton hall abbey" project needs a "flattie"...and i can think of none better than a chauffeur driven limousine...here's a link to the "upton hall abbey" i'm building... http://www.cardboardchristmas.com/forum ... f=2&t=1032

this is very much a "work in progress"...with lots of "composing as i build"...still cutting out layering details as seen in the second photo...some of them will have to be trimmed when installed...still other will have to be made...the wheels look a little sketchy here...but they'll be better when i find my old oval drafting templates from last century...

probably going to be a rich burgundy and black color theme...with brass/gold radiator...who knows what else...just have to wait and see...

my very best regards...howard...

greetings to all...

here's a pix of the completed "limousine flattie"...like all projects...i see things i'd do differently...(if i ever make another one)...but from a "viewing distance"...(in a village display)...i guess it really doesn't make too much of a difference...

note...progress on the "Upton Hall Abbey" project is going slow...but hope to post an update pix or two soon...

my very best regards...howard...

Howard... you've done it again.. a fab flattie! I am going to have to make this, then decide which
putz house is grand enough to have it in the courtyard..... it's pretty clear I'm going to have to enlarge
the village next year. Can't wait to see your photos of this limo parked in front of Upton Hall... perhaps the new
and improved Lady Mary could be changing the oil.
