Brian B's Putz village 12-2012

Please use this forum for photos of your putz villages - some of you don't make your own houses, but you still display a lot of artistry when you combine and arrange them. And the rest of us would love to see your work. Again, it works best if you resize your photos to 800px wide or less before you upload them - Paul

A friend of mine had a plexiglass cover made for her mantle village as Petie the Siamese kept jumping up there to steal the little figures. He goes nowhere near it now. She says it was the best investment she ever made--but forewarns everyone to wrap the cover well when you put it away to avoid scratches. She's had to give up her closet shoe shelf for storage but is really happy she did it.

Mine has proven to be very effective! I take the sides off mine and wrap it in an old bed sheet when I take it down. Then I store the boxes with my houses on top of it in my storage space. I wish it wasn't needed, but am very glad to have it. I found big sheets of it at Home Depot, you do have to be careful when you cut it cause it cracks very easy.

Brian, what a wonderful collection of houses. I have been really enjoying looking at them and the figures you have collected. You did a wonderful job with the reproduction . Thanks so much for sharing!!
