Hello Everyone!

My name is Leben and I am so very happy to now be a part of this community!

I am a guy (I feel I have to say this as my name is a bit cryptic in this regard) in my early 30's. I have been collecting vintage Christmas decorations for awhile now, but am fairly new to collecting the larger, grander putz houses. I always enjoyed the little houses made in the 50's and 60's that I picked up here and there and had no idea their richer, more detailed coconut ancestors even existed. When I came across Papa Ted's site and this forum I was immediately hooked. Isn't it amazing that these little cardboard houses, made so long ago, can be such a source of joy and inspiration?

At the moment, my primary interest related to putzing is restoration of the houses I have: building and replacing sections, making windows and trees, matching colors and making realistic coconut. All this restoration work is giving me an itch to try my hand at fabricating houses from scratch.

I have been lurking on this forum for a bit now and want to thank you all for educating me about so many facets of this hobby, and for entertaining me along the way. I hope that I can continue to learn and even contribute some along the way.

Best,

Leben
