Sure would have been handy to have some arch-window-shaped punches.

I just used a 1/2" round punch and then cut out the 1/8" extra space below the hole and the two corners with a sharp xacto knife...it works for me...Howard...

Very nice work so far Howard! I love the whole concept. Will it be attached to a platform like the putz houses?

Can't wait to see it completed!... (breathing & heart beat accelerated with anticipation)...

good afternoon...
here are patterns for the wheels, supporting pieces and base along with a few notes...
the dimensions are close to the actual measurements...however...i did adjust the sizes of some the piece slightly during assembly...more of a "make slightly oversize and cut to fit" process...
make the "floor" first...so that it fits neatly inside the body...the rest of the pieces are glued to the floor...so that's where the "cut to fit" comes in...
hopefully some assembly pictures later this evening...and all these pieces will make sense...
my very best regards...howard...

It would make a great DINER without the wheels.

good morning...
here's the "motorman flattie" for the trolley project...just about 1 1/4" tall...still needs primer and paint...paper clip wire is glued to the back for support and mounting...both legs of the wire will be glued into small holes in the front step assembly...
more pix later...

good morning to all…
below are pictures of the cut out parts for the base and support pieces plus how they all fit together…
after the wheel disks were glued together i cut off a small section to make the top of the wheels flat where they touch the floor of the trolley...the amount I cut off was just enough so that the 1/2” square support block fits between the bottom of the floor and the top of the base…
i decided to add simple street track to the base...just two narrow 1/8" deep slots cut in the top to receive the flange of the wheels...and two narrow cardboard strips glued next to the slots to represent the top of the tack...
howard…
