It's looking good Lynn. Is your cardboard normally orange? Or did you paint it, or is the color from the camera. I'm curious because I'm still trying to decide if I want to purchase a consistent size of cardboard or stick with my mismatched free sources

Hi Laurie, that's just my phone camera. LOL
I have played around with purchasing cardboard for a while. What I really like I can't find any more. I used to order brown chipboard .026 thick, but I can only find .024, a little thin. The last package I purchased on Amazon was ThunderBolt Paper. One nice thing about the .024 it is a bit easier to cut.

It's a great start for that cute little house. We always enjoy the Howard-Lynn projects.
I would really like thicker cardboard than what I get from work, but I just can't make myself pay for cardboard (even though I am extravagant with other craft supplies). I just double up the thickness.

I use .030 chipboard. I have a whole box of the stuff! From what I have measured on my vintage originals, it's about that thickness on 80+% of them.

Here’s my candy box house. The original has a detachable chimney so I mad mine the same way. What holds the chimney in place is a pipe cleaner. Unexpectedly if fit right over the pipe cleaner and fell right in place, I had my doubts but it worked!
The Santa is Pete's i't really nice having theses figures available.
This is a really fun house to make, thanks Howard for a great pattern!

That is adorable. These are really cute houses. It's always interesting to see the variations on the same pattern.
