Holly Vendor

I’ve made a Holly Vendor with his holly cart.
I thought I stumbled upon a great idea to use a fine point graphic marker for some of the details, it sure worked out well or so I thought until I dipped my flattie in the poly and all the ink from the pen ran, so not such a good idea after all. I was able to repaint over the poly and dip it for a second’s time, but I want to share my experience just in case someone else thought of trying this.
Well what’s a vendor without someone to buy his holly, so I am making a woman to go with him.

Great save on this flattie Lynn. Who would have thought permanent marker would run with poly coating. The colors are bright and cheery and what a fun subject. Nice work!

Lynn,
The Holly vendor is a work of art. I just don't know how anyone can cut these little pieces and then paint them. I am always amazed. I did try one flattie - the witch flattie and I did what you did with the marker, it smeared, but it wasn't too bad. Yours worked out great. I look forward to the Holly Buyer.

Sure is cute work. Not that I do people - too hard and I doubt they would stand still. LOL
