greetings to all...

it's a new year...and time for a new series of little houses...these are based on the ones i remember as a child and from all the photos i've seen on line...

my plan is to post one house per month...of course these plans are free and designed for your non-commercial, personal use only...the houses will all be on a 2" x 4" flat cardboard base...none over about 2 3/4" tall...one greenish blue luffa bush...plane red windows...and a colored sand finish...no glitter...no fence...

the photo below is of house number 1...still a work in progress...the plan is the PDF listed below...

my very best regards...and wishing you a happy new year...

Are these similar is size to the tiny little painted wood ones you see from the past? I think they may have been ornaments.

update...1-9-2019...

here's the white craft sand covered base with bumpy chenille tree...just wish i could find some vintage craft stems from the 50s and 60s...they had tinsel woven in with the cotton chenille...

priming and painting the first house in the series today...hopefully will have it finished by the weekend...

my very best regards...

While I wait for the primer and paint to dry on the first house...thought I'd post a pix of the sand I'm using...

Bought online from Walmart...Color Splash! brand in 12-oz. shaker bottles...I've also seen a similar product with the brand name of Sandtaskik...I just shopped around until i found the best price...

I also using undiluted Elmer's Glue-All to attach the sand...

Howard...

Note...I have no connection whatsoever the the companies or brands listed...

I have some sand like this too. I purchased mine at Hobby Lobby in the "wedding" section. Around $2.99 a bottle. It's the fine stuff. Love it!

Wonderful creation Howard. Thank you for the resource of the sand information. Those trees are the exact tree that I'm looking for repairs. Can you please share the source for me? Thank you, Pete
