I thought the readers here might have an interest in seeing some of these photos. The first is known as THE WINNER and was a low priced line made by Lionel briefly in the 30's. It had been offered at a previous auction from SERIOUSTOYZ
WWW.SERIOUSTOYZ.COM
I'll post more photos later.

I don't know anything about this one except that it is early; it too was offered at a previous auction at SeriousToyz--which is where I shot the photo.

I somehow don't think so but will ask the owner of SeriousToyz--where this item was auctioned off.
Here are some wind-ups from the 1916 Sears Catalog:

Here's another fabulous train that was in a previous auction at SeriousToyz.com
I have sadly not been able to locate the paragraph that described it in detail. It was HO guage as I recall and quite beautiful. I believe it was from the late 50's but without my notes, I just don't know. Still it's worth looking at if only for the graphics, which are superb. I have more but can't locate them at the moment and will try to do so later today...if my internet connection holds up. We got walloped in the northeast with a nasty October snowstorm.
