Never tried the salt and pepper texture…I would think the acrylic (water base) paint would dissolve the salt crystals…I am familiar with her other techniques…especially the sand, sawdust and coffee grounds…these are old school model railroading scenery techniques…one she didn’t mention was good old southern grits…but I think it may have been left out since some small, uninvited insects feed on grits…and coffee grounds…
