Greetings to all...

I’m staying with the Halloween theme for one more project…naturally, it’s a "Black Cat"…there are lots of images of “vintage black cats” on the internet…that’s where the inspiration came from for my version…

It’s made like the "Jack-'O-Lantern" vintage look trick or treat basket I previously posted…a front, back and a combination bottom/sides piece with slots and tabs…see the patterns below…

The bowtie is a piece of orange scrapbooking paper with lines drawn with a permanent marker…a silver permanent marker was used for the whiskers and the few lines marking the ears…

I’ll post the details about how I made the eyes, nose and mouth later…stay tuned…

About the face...mostly scrapbooking paper pieces glued on white cardstock and laser color copied...

Eyes...Blue and green with white highlights cut from address label...red corners of eyes...
Nose...red...
Mouth...red plus blue shape of mouth...teeth are cut from address label...

Not very high tech...but it works...

Howard! The composition art you created for the "inner face" should be kept and offered at the next auction of modern art. It is genius! You are on trend with using found pieces, the colors are great, it looks frightening, it is just a wonderful stand alone piece of modern art.
