Happy New Year my fellow enthusiasts. I have to apologize for my absence, putzing has seemed to be taking over my like and that's fine by me. I am so far behind in my postings. I'll try and fill you in on what new in my world of Putz Houses as soon as I find time. In the meantime here's a piece I did for the Golden Glow of Christmas Past site.
Weird Putz Houses. The pictured putz houses are part of a group we call "A FAMILY OF THEIR OWN" or "ODDITIES". Most houses from the 1920's and 1930's fit into one category or another. Every now and then I find a house or houses that just seem to defy being place into any defined group. However, some of these can be placed into a category but I have to wonder WHAT THE DESIGNER WAS THINKING? An example is "THE SHARK BITE HOUSE"? (pictured) The Haciendas is a family that has produced some real strange structures.
